Keeping Routine and Staying Fit!

Lock down again!! and it hurts....For those of us that are constantly trying to stay fit and healthy this new lock down regulations is definitely not helping. It feels sometimes if everything is against you and you just want to quit!

But if you look at the bigger picture its the way you look and manage the environment around you. If you can not change the environment around you then the only option is to change the way you look at things and change the way you do things. Not being able to go to a gym or fitness studio means that you have to find a solution and if you are creative enough you can definitely make it work to train at home or outside. There are resources like the internet that has thousands of pages with training programs and fun exercises. You just need to sit down and do the planning on what muscle groups you are going to do split into everyday. Try to use these next tips on creating a training program at home:

Build a structure in the training program.... what muscle groups on what days.

Decide on the sets and reps according to the available weight/machines you have.

Decide on the time of day that you are going to train.

Plan when are you are going to have rest days.

Make notes of each day's workout, the weight, reps and sets.

Set a small goal for yourself and a time line with the goal... for example the end of the lock down level.

Post on social media and share it with friends to keep you motivated.

If you really commit and stay focused with the plan you have created you will definitely not take a step back in your goals training wise for the year. I always say to my clients... in life you will most likely get bad times in your life that makes it difficult to stay on track and stay focused on your goals but if you let go and give in when times get difficult you will lose all that you have worked so hard for and there will come a time that you feel.. yes!! I want to do this again and then you are starting from the beginning and on the back foot. So rather fight through the difficult times even if its not your best, its still better as to starting from the beginning.

Stay Strong, Temple Training.
